About the Alliance Defense Fund

The Alliance Defense Fund is a legal alliance defending the right to hear and speak the Truth through strategy, training, funding, and litigation.

At the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), we are committed to preserving and defending religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and traditional family values.  But we cannot do it alone.

ADF’s founders believed that by working with our allies, we could accomplish far much more than we could alone.  To this end, ADF was launched in 1994 as a legal alliance defending the right to hear and speak the Truth through strategy, training, funding, and litigation. 

ADF is committed to victory, and we know that this can only be accomplished, by God’s grace, one case at a time, one legal precedent at a time.  Victory happens one person at a time, as we work together with dedicated men and women who share the same vision for America as this nation's Founding Fathers.  And indeed, God has truly blessed this organization beyond expectation. We have had various roles of significance in 31 U.S. Supreme Court victories, trained more than 950 individuals through our National Litigation Academy sessions and more than 500 law students through the Blackstone Legal Fellowship, awarded more than 1500 grants, and won nearly 3 out of 4 cases litigated to a conclusion!
